Rare Christopher Dresser double bowl. Examples of this bowl are usually found in silver plate but this one is in silver. A Christopher Dresser design made by Elkington and Co with a double bowl and central handle. Of typical Dresser style it is both elegant, plain but very modern looking for its creation date of 1883.
A design truly ahead of its time. The twin oval bowls with straight tapering sides, each bowl has an inward scroll to the outside rim, C scroll strap handle to the central join.

Condition: Hallmarks are a little worn but dechiperable. Stag motif to each side of the bowl. Some rough soldering possible old repair to area where bowls join central handle.
